2009 Watershed Summit

September 18-20, Normandy vicinity, Tennessee

This is the home page of the 3rd annual Watershed Summit in Tennessee. The 2007 and 2008 meetings were held on Short Mountain, near Woodbury TN, and organized by the Stones River Watershed Association.

The 2009 meeting will be held September 18-20 at a private farm and retreat center in Bedford County, Tennessee.  Full details will be posted soon. Leadership will be provided by the Duck River Watershed Association.

The Duck River flows for 292 miles through middle Tennessee from the uplands area of Coffee Countyat Hoodoo to its confluence with the Tennessee River in Humphreys County at Hustburg. Along the way it is a vital water source for four small cities, the home to an unusually diverse array of wildlife and the delight of anyone who loves water recreation.  It is the longest river entirely within the state of Tennessee and is one of the most biologically diverse rivers in North America.

Check back as plans for the 2009 meeting develop.
