The 2008 Watershed Summit at the Short Mountain Bible Camp near Woodbury TN, Sept. 19-21.
This meeting provided an opportunity for representatives of watershed organizations, other citizen groups and partner agencies to enjoy a family-friendly retreat weekend at the Short Mountain Bible Camp, located at 2000 feet atop a spectacular outlier of the Cumberland Pleateau. Everyone enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and stunning views.
The Summit was coordinated by the Stones River Watershed Association and funded with a grant from the Greater Nashville Regional Council in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation and with generous support of the the Keathley Family Foundation. It was proceeded by a Friday pre-conference on blueways and water trails coordinated by the Harpeth River Watershed Association and funded by the Southeast Watershed Forum.
